Appointed to put down Cornish revolt of 1497

This branch is traced back to the English Royal Family through many lines.

It is all well documented in books, archives and the internet. Rather than clutter up my
tree with tens of thousands of Gentry and Royals, I have only included the direct line
back to King Edward lll.

From him it is possible to go back to the Anglo-Saxon, Scottish, French and other
European Royal Families.

9 Almost certainly a combination of two real characters, both claimants to the throne of Denmark, and both of whom probably died at the Battle of Bravalla, 812AD. The Icelandic Sagas combined the two. Randversson, Sigurd Ring (I450)

10 Birth date is the baptism date from the OPC Cornwall parish database: http://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/more-info/?t=baptisms&id=1247506 Hill, Peter (I16)

14 I'm working on the theory that Hannah Cloverly may have been the same person as Dorothy Cloverly (b. Kingston Jamaica, 1742, dau. of Nathaniel and Dorothy Cloverly. There do not appear to be any birth/baptism records for Hannah in Jamaica. So either (1) she was not the daughter of Nathaniel and Dorothy (not likely); (2) She was not born in Jamaica i.e., before Nathaniel and Dorothy moved there (there are no marriage records for them I can find in Jamaica) (plausible), or (3) Hannah Cloverly is Dorothy Hannah Cloverly, called Hannah (possible). There is no evidence for any of this (yet). DN. Coverley, Hannah (I69)

16 Lady Eleanor Elizabeth Grey's death date given in many sources as 1519 is likely wrong, as her husband, Sir John Arundell remarried in 1507. The fact that her birth and death location are both listed in Leicestershire, whereas she lived in Cornwall, is also a concern. Treat death date as incorrect. No evidence of a divorce.

Liz Willaims (from whom I obtained the Arundell sequence), a careful researcher, lists no known death date

17 Listed as "Ship Owner" in 1851 England census. Hayes, Stephen (I86)

18 Maria Hermanagilda may have been our mysterious "Lady in the Mantilla". Paisley, Maria Hermanagilda (I115)

19 Maria Hermanagilda Paisley married John Jackson in Macau, China, in 1821
Records from the church were apparently lost when the church burned down. Probably the 1835 fire in St Paul's Church: http://southchinaenvir.com/historical-perspectives/historic-fire-effects-on-the-granite-wall-of-st-pauls-church-macau

20 Note that the 1841 census has Jane (30) listed twice in the Ancestry.com synopsis, but there is a "Jami" aged 2 in the actual census form Linton, James (I205)

21 Notes from Liz Williams, my 6th cousin, once removed.

King Edward III is my 18 times great-grandfather and my link To Royalty! But I don't get too excited as it is estimated that over 95% of living English people are descended from him.

From King Edward III it is possible to go back to the Anglo-Saxon, Scottish, French and other European Royal Families.

It is all well documented in books, archives and the internet. Rather than clutter up my tree with tens of thousands of Gentry and Royals, I have only included the direct line back to him.
